I’m officially taking a pause from these forums for a while - because I can feel myself growing increasingly bitter after coming here. Maybe it’s due to the fact that discussing with some people here is like banging your head into the wall…no, strike that - banging your head into the wall is less painful than reading through endless speeches containing nothing more than circular reasoning, unsubstantiated claims, insults, prejudices, hateful rhetoric, miscellaneous rhetorical tricks and baits, etc…

So for the moment - all you non-debaters in here have won. I’m leaving for a while. And I don’t really care that some of you are going to answer back with the “Hrmph…”-attitude of a sulking teenager. And no - I don’t care, either, that some will say “He couldn’t stand up to being challenged”. The truth is that I CAN stand up to being challenged, but I have little tolerance for supposed adults “debating” on a kinder-garten level and using the aforementioned rhetorical tricks to try to weasel out of debates they can’t handle, by trying to change the subject…

Celebrating? I don’t give a flying fiddle-stick. But remember, before you pop the champaigne:
I’ll be back…

No it is okay you can stay, Underdog was banned yesterday. 😃 JK

Have a great break, and may you grow in the love of our Lord. :signofcross:

God bless

Actually, going over your previous posts it is clear that you can’t take the heat and really suck as a debater, even up against some of the lamest ones I’ve seen hold a Catholic position ever.
I’m not popping any corks at your departure I was just going to offer you some sugar for your soother 😛

It is always good to have Lutheran brothers and sisters here, especially with a European outlook. Blessings to you, I will miss you. Draw strength from the Holy Spirit and come back soon.

That would be me to some extent. When I get outsmarted by a protestant, I always fall back on the contraception slam-dunk.

You’re not WELS, are you? If so, oops.

Most of the time, the things we see in others that we don’t like are qualities that are present in ourselves that we either don’t recognize, or repudiate.

One can see this clearly if one will listen to one’s dreams. Dreams reveal to us the part of ourselves we prefer not to see. 😉

Peace out, brother. I hope oyu do read this before you go. If we do not speak again, have a merry Christmas and a safe and happy new year!

May God bless you on your journey to him.

Please do come back soon. I enjoy discussing with you

What Ralphinal and JonNC said.

I’ll miss you.

God bless you,

Ruthie

You will have to fill me in on how this one works.

God bless
In a nutshell-

Christians can argue theology 'til the cows come home, but the Catholic Church is the only major religion who hasn’t changed or ignored historical teaching on contraception. There are also a couple of also-rans.

There’s more detail in my signature link.

I know how ya feel. Hope you come back soon.

Good luck in life.
