Taking care of those in peril

When there is great tragedy of human suffering in certain areas of the world how would it be to as well as pray for all ,spiritually adopt a single person/soul (Our Lady would take care of the details) I thought about this with the mass exodus of refugees many dying and pursacuted on the way recently ,and ongoing.
It might already be a done thing,organised but I was just wondering .If it is I’d love to know of details.

Spiritual adoption is a beautiful practice, especially of the unborn.
Atonement is another beautiful practice. It’s called “redemptive suffering”. We unite a little penance or sacrifice to the Cross of Christ on behalf of those in peril. Fast an extra day. Give up something you like for a certain amount of time. Think of Lent as your model.
Prayer is the most powerful way to reach out to those in need. Pray the Rosary or even just the Hail Mary and entrust those in danger to the love of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Place the people in danger within the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Consider supporting the Church with your time, treasure, or talent. Some support groups financially. Others support groups that help those in peril in other ways (raising awareness, passing flyers, sharing information, raising funds, etc.). Others join some groups and become active in their work. Some become missionaries for a time. Some become religious in places in need.
