That’s what Paul says. Is it meant to be taken literally? What does it entail? Let’s say I have some random thought about drinking tea … what in the world am I supposed to do with it?
Conform our lives…including our thoughts to Christ.
(now of course our thoughts do not always follow orders…lots come to us that are not consented to…that are “temptations”…no worries…turn to Christ and let them pass by)
A random thought about drinking tea is not a problem. St. Paul is talking about conditioning our mind against sin. That when we have a thought that could be an occasion of sin we should prayerfully, and mentally bring our thoughts back under control. It’s telling us that we need to develop mental discipline. As the church puts it, we need to develop our conscience.
