Hi everyone,
I have a question: Should I be taking my 2-year old daughter to Mass? She is baptized Catholic and my wife is Lutheran. As a result, I typically go to Mass alone except on Christmas, Easter, or other special events. I leave my daughter home because she is at the age where she is not going to sit still and be quiet and doesn’t understand the concept that she is going to disturb the celebrant trying to conduct Mass. More often than not, I would be taking her out anyway.
Is this the correct approach, or should I be bringing my daughter? I know there is no obligation for her at this point; nonetheless, she is a baptized Catholic. I teach her to pray and both my wife and I read the Bible to her; however, the ultimate form of worship for Catholics is the Mass.
Ideas anyone?
