Over the centuries we have seen some of the greatest geniuses in history. Albert Einstein as a physicist, Michael Jordan as a basketball player, Mozart as a musician, Michelangelo as an artist, Michael Phelps as a swimmer. We all know these great geniuses, but the question is are talents “God-given”?
Over the past few weeks (I am a Catholic), I have thought about this over and over. Americans seem to have good knowledge of music, but if they go deaf, will they ever again enjoy music? Will Mexicans enjoy their knowledge of art if they go blind? Think about this - God gave us at birth to see through our eyes, listen through our ears, and so on. If so, talents must be linked, therefore it is, hopefully, “God-given” talent. Now, we are not talking about “gift of tongue”, “leadership”, blah blah blah you get the point.
