Would it be heretical (or Twilight Zone-ish) to describe Heaven (and Purgatory, Hell) as existing in separate dimensions then our own? Outside of space and time? Undetectable by human technology. In my mind this would make sense when you consider some of the physical aspects of Heaven that we have learned from scriptures and tradition. For instance, the bodies of Elijah, Enoch and Mary are believed to have been taken up to heaven. Jesus, in his glorified state ascended physically into Heaven and He spoke to His apostles about many rooms, mansions, etc.

If Heaven was in a dimension we could not see and entrance was controlled by our Lord. And it was a paradise only reachable through Jesus and His mercy. And purgatory was another where souls, not pure enough for heaven, could be purged of all uncleanness.
And hell was yet another dimension, a place of damnation, to which souls, who had been judged by Jesus, were condemned to spend eternity.

And upon Jesus’ return our dimension will become like, or perhaps merge with, the Heaven dimension.

Does any of this go against Church teaching?
 
Not heretical at all, as there is no mention of alternate dimensions, either way, in Scripture or in Church teaching.

WOW, this is something we agree on!

Its said heaven and hell are all around us, I would definitely say they all exist on what we call other dimensions/ planes.
