Well i told people on the internet my parents werent christian but i ment to say they dont do christian things should i tell my parents what i said about them?

Don’t worry too much! Many Christians have made the same mistake - you are not alone.

In the early days of Charismatic Renewal, people who experienced the “Baptism in the Spirit” or had a rekindled faith or a new found faith then discovered that people took offence because they weren’t experiencing the same, when they regarded themselves as Christians. This applies even to people who don’t go to Church.

God knows everyones faith and it appears judgemental to say someone is not a Christian. It is better to avoid making statements like that about anybody unless they have specifically said themselves they are not Christians.

If you do feel the need to tell your parents, you may get a pleasant surprize or a ray of hope or an opening to witness to your faith. Just be very loving and apologetic. What you did was hardly talking behind their backs, nor gossip so there is probably no sin there.

There is nothing wrong in telling the truth. It is not a secret. Your parents know it is true.
Nobody knows who you really are or cares who you are,… at least I don’t.

If you think it was a malious gossip type of talking behind someone’s back then it is a problem. Especially if you feel guilty.

What your parents don’t know will not hurt them. I prefer people not tell me what other people say behind my back because it really hurts my feelings. It is best to keep silent if you feel you made an error. None of us are perfect.
