it’s been over two years since I stopped the practice of Catholicism. Going to take a look back.
 
Welcome back cheesemaster! May God’s Lenten blessings be upon you and yours! It’s a thrill to see you coming home! God bless you! You’re better off a Catholic than in that Cheesian religion. It’s just too fattening and smells funny. It’s just cheesy! Welcome home, bud! 👍

Long story. :lol:

All through my life, I’ve undergone many paradigm shifts in the way I understand the universe. One such paradigm shift led me away from Catholicism. Now, another one is leading me to take a second look.
 
Ok, ok, one foot in the door of the Cathedral, one foot still in the cheese factory…but one foot is better than none at all from where I’m standing! In any case, friend, good luck with your inquiries. I hope they provide clarity.

👍 That sounds great cheezy.

I don’t want to sound like a stick in the mud, but dont just talk with one priest. Everyone has a different personality, so do priest. Look around a little untill you get that comortable feeling so you can be open and get honest well though out answers.

Remeber that priests are just men, they are not supermen as we sometime imagine or expect them to be. Pray for the right spiritual director to help find your spritual direction…a little play on words sorry.😃

Wow, it’s getting worse by the minute! Next you’ll say you’re having someone else go the parish church while you look at it with a long distance satellite in another country? 😃

I took a look at the site, but the reasons I’m taking a second look have less to do with the perceived authority of the Catholic Church based on apostolic succession and the supposed beauty of its moral teaching.

Rather, Catholicism has a wonderful treasure in it’s sacramental thinking, and it’s long history of picking out the Good in every culture it touches. As Andrew Greeley would put it, “It has a great story”. A story of God becoming man and thereby sanctifying all Men. And the story of Divinity becoming our very food and drink.

Also Catholicism has a rich and nuanced metaphysical outlook which is also attractive.
