Hello i think its about time i talked to a priest but i find it very hard to ask him for advice when he knows the sort of bad lifestyle i live. i dont know what im going to talk to him about but i just want to talk to him. Can you give me some advice.

i think mabye i will give him a confession but im not sure how to do this. Im a very confidnent person around anyone mabye to confidnent. but i think being round a priest who i admire i would be a shaking mess.

Alright, as far as talking to the priest goes. I would call him up and make an appointment to have an hour or two to go to confession first then speak to him about everything if you can. That way you can have plenty of time to make a good examination of conscience and discuss the issues in your life. Do not be worried about what the priest will think about whatever kind of life you are living- I am sure he has seen much worse and it is not his job to condemn but to lead souls to Christ. Remember- The Church is not a museum for saints but a hospital for sinners! šŸ‘ I know the feeling that comes with confessing sins to a priest you respect and admire but it is important to remember that Christ hears your sins and gives you absolution through the priest. Focus on this, it helps.
I was not clear on whether or not you knew how to go to confession from your post but if you need any help with that or anything else please donā€™t hesitate to send me a private message.

Rite there Celtic 1967 I lived in Coatbridge for 21 years, Iā€™m living in Holland now since 2001.
If the priest knows youā€™re a wee bit wild heā€™ll be more than happy to hear youā€™re confession and see you back at mass,mind heā€™s a priest who serves in Glasgow heā€™s heard a lot worseā€¦probably.lol.šŸ˜ƒ If you donā€™t go youā€™ll feel bad about it, get a print out of the 10 commandments see where youā€™ve went wrong and then just bite the bulletā€¦ the worst thing heā€™ll say is ā€œyouā€™re forgiven, go in peaceā€, so donā€™t hold back if you do hold back youā€™re only kiddin youā€™re self on mate.

I think the past few years of my life have definetly been led my Jesus and Mary the sweetest virgin. I cant deal with a bad conscience anymore loving Jesus at the same time im fed up of bringing is great light under my bad habits.
goin to go to confession in the next week or so ill let you know how i get on.
hes a Glasgow lad himself so im sure it will be ok

Dont worry about talking to a priest, he might consider himself one of those miserable sinners who have had a bad past as well. he will only have compassion and mercy on you.

celtic, I am absolutely sure that there is nothing in your ā€œbadā€ lifestyle that the priest will not have heard before.

Maybe check heā€™s not a Rangers fan first, although thatā€™s not very likely!šŸ˜ƒ

dont think hes envolved with the Darkside (Rangers) hopfully not
or else i could not hold a dencet confersation with the guy. GOD bless you and thnks for all the coments
