Does God answer our prayers. Long story short, I have a business, the business is working but at a super slow rate and sometimes I need to put money into it, not a ton, but still. So many times I have felt conflicted because our finances went down the hole during a period of time and the business is partly to blame but my husband also lost his job but the business was not providing enough that he may be paid, so we went through 7 difficult months of living on one income. Every time I have prayed I feel I get some sort of answer.
For example: I prayed to God and asked why the financial issues in our home as we had not had any financial issues before (we were not well off but comfortable) and what happens, I stop praying, open the bible and it opens to the story of Job.
There have just been so many time when I pray and I read something or see something that tells me to keep pushing forward. Today I has a meeting with a small business rep who told me it is doable to keep going but it’s just going to take a lot more work. On my drive home I prayed and asked God to let me know if I need to keep up the faith and move my business along or if I should just forget about it. I prayed and said that if it was my calling and I can some day make this business work and provide jobs for others and help others, then to let me know, or to also let me know if it was time to let go. Not even a minute after we get an email from a huge potential client telling us that they are going to keep us in mind for their next order. These are just tiny examples of when I feel he is answering me, it happens all the time, and all the time the answer seems to be to keep going and keep up my faith and trust in God.
So I know I made this longer than it needed to be, but it feels good to vent to a group that has the same beliefs as I do. My question is, is God answering me, or am I just seeing signs where I want to see them? If he wants me to keep moving forward, why is the process so slow, I have been taking two steps forward and one step backward for over a year now.
