I didn’t realize that there were “Talks at Google” similar to “TED Talks.” But there are, including this one by pro-life activist Stephanie Gray. I read about it in the Catholic World Report here, and found the actual talk here. Her talk was so non confrontational, reasonable, and captivating that I ended up sitting through the whole thing, 60 minutes. But even if you only listen to ten minutes, it is well worth the time.

Thanks for the link/ this sounds interesting and when I have time I will listen to it.

Mary,

Yes. They also have some pretty impressive investment speakers such as Guy Spier and Mohnish Pabrai as well as others.

My oldest who is still a teen, watched one yesterday and I watched with her. It was about how we probably all marry and at some point wonder if we’ve made a mistake. Can’t remember the speaker’s name and I can’t locate it right now. It was an excellent talk and not negative. It wasn’t religious but surprisingly it seemed to work well with acknowledging that WE are not perfect.

If I can find it I’ll drop by and post it.

The most stunning thing? As a backdrop to the speaker was a projection of a stained glass depicting the marriage of St. Joseph and Our Lady! Probably the only two people who truly had a marriage made in Heaven.
