Did not know whether to put this here or in Secular News:
Tancredo event turns violent
By M.E. Sprengelmeyer, Rocky Mountain News
December 1, 2006 - Protests, scattered fights and fire alarms reportedly disrupted Rep. Tom Tancredo’s appearance last night at Michigan State University, a local newspaper reported.
According to The State News of Michigan, Tancredo’s talk on illegal immigration “turned violent” when about 10 to 20 protesters crashed the event and scuffled with event sponsors from the MSU College Republicans and Young Americans for Freedom.
Here is another article without the MSM sping like reportedly:‘Radical leftists’ on campus assault organizer, pull fire alarm
I hope there is some criminal prosecutions here for pulling the fire alarm.

This was a truly disgusting display of intolerance.

Radical leftist liberals proclaiming that freedom of speech applies only to those who agree with them.

These radical illegal immigration activists just cannot stand to see or hear anyone criticize illegal immigration or illustrate the harm to the US caused by illegal immigrants.

While we do see some name calling in this forum for the most part I do not think we have many posters who at that fanatical. Thanks for that.

A liberal was once defined as: “One who will defend to the death your right to agree with him.”

Free speech for radicals, but not for anyone who disagrees with them.

A few years ago, some folks went door-to-door for signatures on some petition or other. (To downsize the military.) I engaged them in debate.

They proposed totally banning a conservative newspaper. Why? Because it was (expletive deleted).

Violence against anyone who disagrees with them.

[With respect to their petition, I proposed total elimination, not downsizing, of the military. They profoundly disagreed. I said we had no business interfering with other countries and we had no cause to attack Canada or Mexico, so why did we need a military at all.

They started arguing why we needed a military.

It was a hoot.]
