Good evening,

When I go to Adoration of the Eucharist on Thursday nights, the priest sings the last two verses of St.Thomas Aquinas’ Essay on *Church Plain Chant. *We all have the words of course, but it has been about a ½ century since I was an altar boy at St.Luke’s.

Sure would appreciate a site where I could see the Tantum Ergo phonetically.

Thank you, -John

I don’t know about a website, but I’ll start you off:

Tahn-toom air-go sah-crah-men-toom
Veh-neh-ray-moor chair-noo-ee.
Et ahn-tee-koom doh-coo-men-toom
Noh-voh chay-daht ree-too-ee.
Pres-tet fee-des soo-play-men-toom
Sen-soo-oom day-feck-too-ee.

Jay-nee-toe-ree, jay-nee-toe-kway
Louse et yoo-bee-lah-tsee-oh.
Sah-loos, oh-nor, veer-toos kwo-kway
Seet et bay-nay-dic-tsee-oh
Pro-chay-den-tay ahb oo-trow-kway
Com-par-seet low-dah-tsee-oh. The “low” in this line rhymes with “how.”

Ahh-men.

Hope this helps!

Oops - this should be

Pro-chay-den-tee ahb oo-trow-kway

Something won’t let me edit.
