I don’t think it is productive to blame the bad image of conservative Christians on “the media” when it is overwhelming self-generated. There are a lot of nutters out there that give Christianity a bad reputation.

The evangelical public opinion institution Barna has reported that among non-Christians, and even among younger Christians, the words most often associated with Christianity are “anti-LGBT”, “hypocritical” and “judgemental”.

Blaming it on the “media” is giving them more power than they could possibly have, and prevents Christians from doing anything to repair their reputation. It’s basically a conspiracy theory.

Remember back in the day when people were complaining about Taylor Swift not getting political? I miss those days.

Yeah, I was just going to say, she’s getting a bit over the hill…the shock tactics will come out now to try to keep an audience.

Exactly. Once the audience starts to dwindle, something with shock value has to come next. Think Madonna or Miley Cyrus.

A celebrity making a less than subtle political statement… now there’s a first!

Taylor Swift is overrated anyway. I can only listen to so many whiny break up songs.

It does feel strange to see her performing like this now. I grew up listening to her music back when she used to play country music. When she transitioned more into pop, I like some of it because it was catchy. Now, after seeing this video, It almost feels like a different person.

“Enhance your calm” Ms. Swift, use those three seashells, and “Be well”

(Best movie EVER, and WAY ahead of it’s time! ).

I’m more concerned about what God thinks than some celebrity.

but the word of our God will stand forever. - Isaiah 40:8

CTB, the movie is Demolition Man. I think it came out in 1993, and has Sylvester Stallone, Wesley Snipes and Sandra Bullock in it. It does have some bad words, but they are part of the satire, and the movie is FULL of satire. If you are Conservative, you will get a big kick out of it.
" inspire joy joy feelings in all those around you ". 😉

I’m no expert in music but I think this is more fun to listen to.

Not like she will care. She has made more money than she can possibly spend in several lifetimes. I think all this virtue-signaling is more to impress the elitist crowd. These celebrity virtue signallers have no problem dissing ordinary folks who would have otherwise loved their music/writing/art. Once you have made enough money from the masses, you don’t need them anymore. Now it’s about impressing the cool kids.

This reminds me of why I stopped watching pop music videos a long time ago – poor screenwriting and bad acting.

She has 29Million views on YouTube and is on the trending page. She’s definitely a influence on younger people.
