Hey to all. I have put together a Power Point Presentation to teach a class on the mass (start to end…like a mass for dummies class). I have all the whats but would like to include the whys–scripture passages and historical info to say “why and here is where it came from”. I have some info I will supplement but would like to gather more because there is alot I don’t know. I cannot get the PPP to link to the sight so you will have to email me if you are able to help. I am not selfish, if you would like a rough draft just email. I took my info from someone else anyway.

Thanks

Eric

What age group and how long is the presentation. Bear in mind that it takes a lifetime and still we won’t plumb the beauty and the mystery of the Sacrifice of the Mass.

Two books which have beeen useful for me are 1. When Your Mind Wanders At Mass by Thomas Howard and Know Him In the Breaking of the Bread by Fr Francis Randolph

The How To Book of the Mass by Michael Dubriel might be of some help too.

The great thing about powerpoint is that you can click through the slides if time is short…

But - here’s my tip for using PPT in RE: pictures speak louder than words.

Rather than slabs of text - use images that take up the whole slide. Use diagrams - flowcharts - mindmaps etc.

And remember the cardinal rule of using visual aids in classroom: white space is your friend. Don’t cram everything together because its harder for people to digest the info.

I’d love to see the powerpoint. 🙂
