Technology in Heaven?

Pretty much all the paintings and all of Heaven, Angels, Saints, etc. are medieval style. Like robes, swords, candles,etc. I guess many of the earliest paintings of our religion were done back then and thats all they knew. But now that we have computers and electricity, how do we know that the saints aren’t on their personal laptops reading their prayer-mail right now? Is it a belief of our religion that it is medieval in Heaven? Or is it just tradition? Or is there a whole new “style” up in Heaven that doesn’t match any that we have had on earth? Know it’s a wierd question…i was just thinking. Thanks.

I have long suspected that by Heavenly standards, electricity email and personal laptops are about as primitive as stone-age paintings, bone tools and lighting a fire to make smoke signals.

Personal laptops seem ultra modern to us now. That was how the Romans viewed the abacus. But how will they appear in say even a 1000-years time on this planet?

Doubtless electicity will have given way to inependent intelligent self-charging super-cells [what we now think of as batteries]. Laptops becoming artifical intelligent super biological chips inserted at birth, or lasar fixed onto a particular body cell to compliment the human brain. Possibly even implants genetically encoded and passed from one generation to the next so that laptops are no longer necessary.

Who knows. What we can be certain of, is that life is vastly different to what we currently know

Indeed. Technology, our technology, might be terribly outmoded or irrelevant by heavenly standards, since human technology was developed to compensate for human limitations, limitations which might not exist for the saints and angels “up there”.
