I am a teenager in a small town in Arizona.
I was baptized in the Catholic church, and took my Communion and Confessional but I was never confirmed. My family stopped attending church because our family grew, and soon there was no more time, but I do go to our FCS meetings at school, read the Bible, and pray all the time.
I would like to be confirmed, but I am very confused on how to do so.
It is of course too late to begin the Confirmation class at my church because they began in January. The problem is what I should do next year.
By the time I would be confirmed next year I would be 18, so should I wait until after I am 18 to begin the RCIA class as an adult and be confirmed in that way? I really want to be confirmed but in the spring (when the teenager confirmation classes are) I am very busy with athletics and family, and I will also have major college decisions and planning to make etcetera.
Would it be wiser to wait for my senior year to end and then take an RCIA class over the summer?
