I am not sure what you mean by those but I did do some engineering classes in high school and a little bit in middle through a program my school had called Project Lead the Way. Does that ring a bell?DevotedChild~ FINALLY! somebody else who understands!!!

This is getting a little off topic but I have heard of FIRST. I don’t know if you have heard of LEGO LEAGUE but that is mainly for elementary and middle school kids. The acronyms stated above are robotics leagues. I have heard of Project Lead the Way, though my school doesn’t participate. I’ve been doing engineering since 7th grade. I can’t wait todo college engineering competitions. We’re you recruited for an engineering scholarship?
I know what you mean about getting so smiley after Euchurist. I feel so at peace and get so giddy after mass.I participated in FLL for 3 years, and now i help my dad coach my Alumni team! i actually compete on all 3 levels of FIRST!
Architecture, I see. A noble profession, though not as good as engineeringYour spiritual director sounds really cool! But since he is from Ghana, do you have a hard time understanding him because of the accent?
I try to glorify the Lord through everything I do, but i have a hard time because, how can a robotics competition be for the glory of God?
Though what you say in your last paragraph makes allot of sense, sometimes i worry about the future so much, I forget about what God wants me to do today.
But as a teenager yourself, you understand how hard it is to be patient sometimes… In a world of NOW NOW NOW, carefully and slowly discerning God’s gentle and beautiful call is one of the hardest things to do, since it takes so much time and it goes against the norms of society’s way of doing things.
As to your response to my question about the Eucharist. I love the Eucharist. Over the past month, something amazing has happened. When i got my confirmation, i noticed that at that pinnacle during the transubstantiation, when the priest help up the host, i just knew when it was no longer a piece of cardboard like bread or a cup of wine. but the Body and Blood of Christ. Now lately, I get crave the Eucharist. When i get to Mass i am so excited that i am going to receive soon. When i do receive,I am filled with joy!this joy is sooooooo great!!! I can’t stop smiling after I receive, and when I Eucharistic minister, I am even more joy filled. Im standing there practically glowing as I distribute the Body or Blood of Christ. Everywhere I go, people always ask me, “why are you so smiley after communion?”
For those of you in engineering school, you know that engineers are an integral part of the world. Do yall feel as if you were to leave the engineering field, the world would be mad at you? That’s how I feel allot of the time, just yesterday, some lady recognized me from the paper a few weeks ago and asked me to sign it. IM not sure if this is because of my unusual level of dedication to an extracurricular activity and AWESOME skills or does this happen to all discerning engineers???
That’s fine. St. Therese’s Little Way is pretty simple, do every thing, big and small, as an Act of Love for God. So, even if it is merely lifting a pen off a table, do it with your love of God in mind. This especially comes helpful in times of doing chores we don’t like doing but doing them as a sacrifice for your love of God, it becomes worth it and more enjoyable. That is how I understand her Little Way to mean. It is explained better in her autobiography.Sorry, for the delay, I was on a retreat all weekend!
Finally! somebody that knows what Im talking about!!! Any idea what it means!!
I have done some research on St. Therese, but I don’t really understand what it means. Explanation?
Yeah.wow, her little way seems hard to do. yet at the same time easy… Remembering God by simply picking up a pen, or typing something into Google, WOW!
