Teenager commits suicide over bullying

I am just heartbroken. My dear friend’s granddaughter shot herself this morning because she did not want to go to school and face the bullies any more. The family, of course, is devastated. And angry, of course. They have been trying to get the problem addressed at school without any result, but they had no idea their child was contemplating suicide. Please pray for them. They are a close-knit Catholic family. The girl was going into 8th grade. I cannot seem to wrap my head around this, it is so tragic and senseless.

May the children whose behavior have caused such a state of despair repent of their actions, recommit themselves to Our Lord and His mercy, and grow ever closer to Him.

O Star of the Sea, help us, and show us that you are our Mother.

Very sad. prayers for this young girl, may she be at rest and peace with our Lord.

Prayers for the family , for peace, strength, and understanding.

Prayers for those who bullied her, not realizing what they have done, may they have a

conversion of their souls.

Praying for the eternal repose of her soul and your friend’s family.

This question has been on my mind for some time.

With the problem of bullying, why are school administrators just addressing this problem NOW?

This has been going on forever.

I know people who suffered from bullying in school. You know, even for those who already ‘got over it’, it seems that the effects are there, as seen in lethargy, underperformance, seen as laziness and lack of motivation.

Suicide of a child must be the worst scar there is. I’m praying.

O Lady of Mental Peace,

look upon CB Catholic Friend’s Daughter in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love

true human love can only
begin and grow by touching

    And, help her to bring this

Lord I pray for the soul of the young teen that commited suicide and the shock this is for the family and friends. Lord bring help and healing for all we pray in Your most Holy Name, Amen.

Lord Jesus, I pray you comfort this poor girl’s family and take her soul to eternal rest with you. Wrap her family in your loving embrace, Oh Lord, and flood them with your peace and love.
