Televangelist claims second-hand clothes could have demons

I was under the impression that God made the entire material (physical) world and called it good - so every material “thing” can only be good. How is it then, that demons attach themselves to things? I’m seriously asking because I don’t know and would like an answer 👍

I don’t know either…but if you read some of the threads on witchcraft, ex-Wiccans are told to get rid of their ritual tools because of un-holy forces attached to them…seems to be not only a TV evangelist belief…but some Catholics believe it too.🤷

Before Meals
“Bless us, Oh Lord, and these thy gifts which we are about to receive from thy bounty, through Christ our Lord. Amen.”

After Meals
“We give Thee thanks for all Thy benefits, O Almighty God, who livest and reignest world without end. Amen. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.”

In my part of the country, we say grace after meals this way: We give Thee thanks, Almighty God, for all Thy gifts which we have received from Thy bounty, through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

We are thanking God and asking for His Blessing 🙂

Yeah, if anyone doubts that this is a Catholic belief ask yourself why a priest comes to bless your home by throwing holy water all over it? It is an exorcism of sorts. So is saying grace before meals, believe it or not. Why are we blessing the food?

Especially if the meal is an MRE, then yes, it needs an exorcism.

Praying over my meal is giving God an opportunity to really show off. Most of the time, what I’m eating only bares a passing resemblance to healthy food. God has to do some job to make sure it doesn’t kill me. 😃
 
Be not afraid…of demonic clothes or anything…God is with us. Demons do exist and do possess but it is rare. Why would anyone want to put fear ‘across the board’ in the heart of the faithful?
