THe Wonder bread sybolizes the wonder of how this can be respectful in any way shape or pardon me- form.

A “mystery” to me in this case, and may well be a “mystery” of that faith.

But the grape juice brand is important obviously- since President’s Choice brand would be a hypocrisy of multiple proportions!
Yeah the whole thing to me is a mystery…grape juice and crackers or WONDER bread…dont get it but that is ok I dont have to…I have the real thing in the Eucharist:)

Since Damascus started one for the anti-Catholics I figured we could start one here for the Catholics. Tell us how you feel about the Protestants, fundamentalists, or any other non-Catholic group. None of them are to post or debate. Let’s get a few things off our papist chests.
Since you asked!

If I could go back into Time, I would assasinate Martin Luther at the exact moment of him nailing his 95 item thesis upon the door.

If the pope wanted to create a new militia to stamp out heresy I would be the first in line with bell on!

Should I respond further?

JMCRAE-

Just WONDERing, do they at very least pray over the hydrogonated fat added Wonder Bread before they chop it up?

Jesuits my friend. We were born too late I am afraid. We could of had some fun. Maybe not Martian Luther- It was not prepared for well. but we could have had some fun none the less.

I am probably going to catch hell for my post…

Um - I never did, that I recall. Of course, I was usually chopping it up at a really early hour of the morning - what I did was I would freeze five bags over night and then cut it in blocks with a straight kitchen knife.

Once that was done, I’d place the frozen cubes on 12 silver patens, where they would gently thaw - I had to time it out so that they would be completely thawed by the time of the service itself, which meant that this task had to be completed at least two hours ahead of time.

After that, I had to divide the grape juice among about 500 individual little glass cups; I had a special serving bottle for doing that; it had a special top on it that would measure out the exact amount for each little cup. The little cups were kept on special trays that had slots in them for holding the cups for easy serving: there were 6 of these trays.

After that, the other Elders would come, and I would assign them which element they were serving, and which section of the congregation they were in charge of. It was very, very organized - they even had to step in formation with each other, and everything had to be done just exactly so.

I would defend the thread, but I do not have moderator power. Mike seems determined to prove me right and is doing an excellent job. For example he arrogates to himself the right to claim osas is not essential. Who gave him the right to decide? I can find 100 other fundamentalists who would disagree with him. Cestus locuta est, causa finita est. Wow, I just coined a new phrase!

I fear where the Church would be without the changes of the Council of Trent and the counter-reformation. We may all be mortgaging our houses to pay the local Bishops for our indulgences.

Murder and assasination wasn’t taught by Christ. Luther wasn’t wrong in all his complaints even the Church said so.
