These stories are beautiful.
My parents were married for over 57 years. My mother suffered from Alzhiemers through 10 of them and it finally took her 3 years ago this past June. Dad passed away 6 months later from a broken heart. During my fathers funeral, I could almost visualize them standing in front of that church looking at all their kids and grandkids with such pride. They were so in love, not always, but 90% of the time. They had trials and tribulations like every other couple had. They just found the way to handle it. I hope that I will be the same way. I hope that no matter what life throws us, we realize that our marriage is always worth fighting for.

“Tell me some happy marriage stories.”

Well…I think about my wife constantly and can’t wait to get home to see her every day. We’ve been together now for 15 years. I thank God for putting her in my life. 🙂

I’m not married (since I’m 15 :)), but all my friends think the story of how my boyfriend and I got together is really sweet.

He and I met in 7th grade and hated each other instantly (typical cranky middle schoolers!). Last year, in freshman year, after ignoring each other throughout 8th grade, we became best friends.

Then, something clicked and we liked each other. We’ve now been going out for five months!

And we’re still best friends. 😃

Hope this helped in some way!

These are such beautiful uplifting stories. May God Bless your marriages and keep them strong. Besides love, all of the posts contained stories of positive attitudes.🙂

I joined the church shortly before getting married. I still had alot of doubts and it took along time for me to really accept all the church’s teachings. After the birth of our 4th child for my husband I had the Mirena IUD implanted. I knew he wouldn’t accept any natural methods and didn’t want to deal with not being intimate and the relationship problems it would cause. My faith was not nearly as strong as it is now. Anyway after dealing with that and with constant guilt for over 4 years I finally had it removed and we proceeded to figure things out natually. That was over a year now and things have been going great! I am so happy with my decision and our relationship has really improved. My faith level keeps growing and through prayer I feel my husband is growing too and starting to realize some old sins he has never admitted to. Praise be the Lord!🙂 :extrahappy:

I have a DH who married me almost 20 years ago. He took on two children from a previous marriage, adopted them and called them his own. He didn’t complain when one of those children was finally diagnosed as schizophrenic. He didn’t complain when the other one got pregnant out-of-wedlock. He supported both children as if they were his own, and is now raising 2 grandchildren he has adopted with me. He works hard. He always tries to see the best of things. He puts up with my family (well, it’s sort of trade-off there, as I put up with his). And he still tells me “thank you, that was a great meal” even for a peanut butter sandwich!

My husband and I have been happily married for eleven years. When I was growing up I knew that I wanted a marriage like my parents had. They kissed and hugged in front of us kids, adored each other, and NEVER raised their voices to each other,.

On our second date, I told my future husband that the man I married would not be afraid to kiss and hug in front of our kids. And even though he never saw his parents kiss until he was an adult, he realizes how important it is for the children to see the love their parents have for each other. We haven’t ever raised our voices to each other, and our love for each other grows with each passing year. The more he does for me, the more I want to do for him; and the more I do for him, the more he wants to do for me…even if it’s not very easy.

Isn’t God awesome, to create for us such an emotion as love? ❤️
