Tell me why???

Now why does God allow people to pray to Mary? Mary the most faithful servent of God in a full human sence. We all know that Mary is the perfect woman, (sorry ladies). However we know that Jesus is the ONLY way to the Father. We know that without the HELPER (holy spirit) we can do NO good. We know that we HAVE to seek first the kingdome of God.
Everything in the bible is related through Jesus, so why does Mary the servent of God tell us to pray to her for help when Jesus tells us to pray to the Father for all we need. We who are worth more than a sparrow the Father will give us even more. But we donot receive because we donot pray to the Father asking Him the bible tells us. So why the servent?

Don’t get me wrong! I love Mary my mother she alone is the most perfect woman to follow.

When we pray to Mary (not to be confused with worshipping her) we are asking her to pray for us to her Son, Our Lord). Protestants also do this with the only difference being that they will ask another human being to pray for them. The Saints are already in the presence of God.

Ah! thank you I forgot about that. The fact that when on earth there is sin and only by the power and grace of God and His will can a person not be sinful,(as Mary is one)

Yes, so to ask people to pray for you when they are sinners gives to the possibility of the prayer being with bad motives. Where as with Mary and the saints and others in Heaven there is NO sin therefore their prayer MUST be clean, without sin, blameless.

Therefroe Mary praying for us must be a good thing. That would be the same as I ask St Anthony to help me find something I have lost, and I find it.

Please don’t think like that,
I may be human but I donot state my readings from scripture as being the only ones or being the right answers.
I have an open heart and I have not made up my mind. My mind is only made up to follow Jesus in which ever way that is. For Jesus tells us that "God’s ways are not our ways, they are so fare removed from ours " so I am not aloud to make up my mind on scripture. For every second I gain some understanding of scripture it changes my heart and therefore the meaning changes to an extent.
You see some long time ago I asked Jesus to give me some person to help me follow Him. He gave me St Therese the little flower who at that time I had never heard of. I have never looked back. I am faulty but I follow the “little way” even to folly for the sake of loving Jesus.
I take Jesus as my Father and Mary as my mother therefore I accept all people on earth, even that I don’t know as my brother and sister. For this reasonI can smile at every person, wish them well as my family.

I don’t think its necessarily that if we ask people on earth to pray for us that their prayers might have bad motives. It’s just that if you are going to ask someone to pray for you, wouldn’t you ask someone that you know to be Godly? By virtue of being declared Saints, we know them to be Godly.

Jesus performed his first miracle because His mother asked him to. So we ask Mary to intercede for us. Of course, we pray directly to God also, its not that we cannot pray directly to Him. We don’t pray to Mary to the exclusion of God the Father or God the Son.

In our prayer The Hail Mary, we say, Holy Mary, Mother of God.
PRAY FOR US SINNERS. We are asking her to join her prayers with ours.

I accept what you are saying, and I think of the times I ask people to pray for me. I think that it is so good for me to have as many people as possible pray for me and I leave the judgment up to God. I was only saying that ALL things on earth are carnal so may have fault in some way (compared with God). I wasn’t saying that people’s prayers are always faulty. I couldn’t say that since God alone knows our heart.
As Jesus tells us when He asked the young man " Why do you call me good master" Do you see what I am saying? And that is the reason why I ask for spiritual family (Mary the saints the angels ) to pray for me, above others although others also are included in who I ask and want.

Using the term “pray to” can be very misleading especially to non-Catholic. We only pray to God but for Virgin Mary, we ask for Her intercession.

Another thought, when I ask you to pray for me something, do you really quote whatever I ask you when you pray? Many times, you don’t.

For example: I just simply ask you to pray for me to make more money and I don’t tell you the motive of what I am going to do with the money - I could use it for bad reasons or for good ones. But when you pray, you might pray something like “Dear Lord, help water understand how to use money wisely, not to be so worried about how much he makes but to trust in the Lord”.

Your prayer for me might be good, great, perfect. Now, for Virgin Mary who follows God’s will perfectly. Therefore, when we ask her to pray for us, she knows what else she would pray for us - not just what exactly we asked her for.

If Virgin Mary who is so worthy and knows God’s will, her prayers are always perfect in God’s eyes.
