First off - just joined at the Easter vigil last night, so

Now the trouble is how to tell my parents. Our relationship hasnāt exactly been the greatest. Basically, I want to tell them just to get it out of the way - I donāt want them to find out from someone else, and I want to be able to practice when I visit without sneaking around. But I donāt particularly want to TALK about my conversion with them. Religion has never been a good subject with them ever since I left their strict fundamentalist church. I simply donāt have any expectation that a productive discussion can be held, and I know from experiences that these discussions are hugely stressful for me (to the point of heading back home and just curling up and crying).
Iām not sure how to approach this. I want to be polite and respectful while also indicating that this is NOT up for discussion. Any idea as to how Iād go about this project?
