Hello everyone, please pray the Church can obtain the virtue of temperance. Thank you.

**May the Sacred Heart of Jesus
be loved and adored
in all the Tabernacles of the world now and forever.

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus
be loved and glorified
until the end of all time.

Saint Jude pray for us
and hear our prayers.

Amen.**

Prayer for Temperance

Jesus, You practiced temperance; You were the Model of self-restraint, Never over-indulging in the temporal. My body being the Temple of the Lord, I must treat it with ongoing respect. Self-abuse destroys the body; Be it alcohol, drugs, or excess food. Lord Jesus, bestow fortitude upon me For my soul to control my body, To practice the virtue of temperance. Jesus, You are the source of my vigour. Through You, all is possible!

Generous St. Dymphna, like all Christ’s martyrs you gained this crowning grace because you prepared for it by a life of self denial. By faithfulness in smaller things you were ready for your final trial. Please teach us by your example and help to use the good things of life so that we may not miss our chance for life eternal. Help us, too, to watch and pray for ourselves and others. Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

May be body of Christ be faithful to His teachings and be a light to the world

This is great to hear about this, cause we often dont hear much about it generally. Present society is often all about the instant & self indulgence, & so the concept of self restraint, can be quite strange. Modern life is all about convenience, not sacrifice. How many western countries’ populations are over weight?
Even the church has reduced the days required to fast: just 2 now I think.
My grandmother used to say ‘everything in moderation’, but today it can be more about excess.
So, maybe if we all think of something we can do on a daily basis, that is a little bit of self denial, we will get better at achieving temperance generally. 👍
In fact, it would be good to hear about all the virtues more often.

Lord, hear our prayers.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

**O Blessed Virgin Mary Mother of God and our most gentle Queen and Mother look down in mercy upon England thy Dowry
and upon us all who greatly hope and trust in thee. By thee it was that Jesus our Saviour and our Hope was given unto the world
and He has given thee to us that we might hope still more.

Plead for us thy children whom thou did receive and accept at the foot of the cross O sorrowful Mother,
Intercede for our separated brethren that with us in the one true fold they may be united to the Chief Shepherd the Vicar of Thy Son.
Pray for us all dear mother that by faith, fruitful and good works we may all deserve to see and praise God
together with thee in our heavenly home. Amen.
