A Novena Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Sacred Heart of Jesus, we know that there is but one thing impossible to You: to be without pity for those who are in suffering or distress. Look down on us, we beg of You and grant us the grace which we humbly and earnestly implore, through the Immaculate Heart of Your most sorrowful Mother to whom You confided us as her children, and whose prayers are all powerful with You. Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Good Health

Most holy Virgin, venerated with the title of Our Lady of Good Health, because in every age you have come to the assistance of the sick, we ask you to intercede for us, for those dear to us, and for all who are ill. Obtain for us health of mind and body or at least strength to accept our sufferings in union with Christ our Redeemer.

Mary, Health of the Sick, pray for us!

Most holy Virgin, consoler of the afflicted, we entrust to your maternal protection our brothers and sisters who are experiencing pain and isolation, those who do not believe in Christ, and those who do not hope for a new world. O Mother of Grace, we ask you to show every person who is sick the way to salvation and happiness.

Mary, Health of the Sick, pray for us!

O Lord our God, grant to us your sons and daughters that we may enjoy ever more completely health of body and soul, and through the intercession of Mary most holy, free us from every evil and guide us to happiness that is everlasting. Amen.

Father, in the name of Jesus and for His sake please help those tempted to despair to know that they are uniquely loved children of God. Help them to consider the welfare of others, and the effects on such choices on others.

Help them to appreciate the goodness and value in even small things in their lives,and to grow in positive self-talk, that leads to a life of new hope.

Grant others to recognise the signs of their despair and help them with love, wisdom and kindness.

Please heal those families tormented by the suicide of loved ones.

Our Father, Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen

Almighty and Eternal God,
Give me, I beseech You,
the great gift of inward peace.
Command the winds and storms
of my unruly passions.
Subdue, by Your grace,
my proneness to love
created things too much.
Give me a love of suffering for Your sake.
make me forbearing and kind to others,
that I may avoid quarrels and contentions.
And teach me constantly to seek after
and to acquire that perfect resignation
to Your Holy Will
which alone brings interior peace.
Amen

Our Father, Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen

  • Praying for those afflicted with suicidal thoughts, and their loved ones…
Lord Jesus Christ, You have willed that St. Dymphna should be invoked by thousands of clients as the patroness of nervous and mental disease and have brought it about that her interest in these patients should be an inspiration to and an ideal of charity throughout the world. Grant that, through the prayers of this youthful martyr of purity, those who suffer from nervous and mental illness everywhere on earth may be helped and consoled. .

Be pleased to hear the prayers of St. Dymphna and of Your Blessed Mother. Give those whom I recommend the patience to bear with their affliction and resignation to do Your divine will. Give them the consolation they need and especially the cure they so much desire, if it be Your will. Through Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou among women,and
blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us now, and
at the hour of our death.
Amen

Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, as is and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell,
lead all souls to heaven, especially, those in most need of Your Mercy.
Amen

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle,
be our protection against the malice and snares
of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray;
and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host,
by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and
all evil spirits who wander through
the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.
