Heavenly Father, please help those tempted to get past suicidal thoughts and learn to welcome life.
Please help their families and friends, and their counsellors, with all the graces to help them to recover from whatever troubles them.

Father, in the name of Jesus and for His sake please help those tempted to despair to know that they are uniquely loved children of God. Please surround them with Your light and love.
Grant others to recognise the signs of their despair and help them with love, wisdom and kindness.
Mother Mary and their patron saints and angels please pray for them and their families.
 
Praying that those who contemplate suicide will obtain help and find relief of those feelings with the help of Jesus…

Lord Jesus Christ, You have willed that St. Dymphna should be invoked by thousands of clients as the patroness of nervous and mental disease and have brought it about that her interest in these patients should be an inspiration to and an ideal of charity throughout the world. Grant that, through the prayers of this youthful martyr of purity, those who suffer from nervous and mental illness everywhere on earth may be helped and consoled. .

Be pleased to hear the prayers of St. Dymphna and of Your Blessed Mother. Give those whom I recommend the patience to bear with their affliction and resignation to do Your divine will. Give them the consolation they need and especially the cure they so much desire, if it be Your will. Through Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

On behalf of those tempted to suicide I pray:

Confidence in God’s merciful love
Our God, You command that I forgive and rightly cherish myself. Like many people in human history, I often find it difficult to sincerely and consistently love the ‘self’ that I find mirrored in my consciousness. I know that You can bring me to appreciate the miracle and privilege of my existence!

How can I refuse to love what God loves! You treasure me, as You love and treasure each unique, human person that You create. Yet I need much grace to love this betrayer of my true being and purpose, myself! I betray Your loving creation of me by failing to be fully ‘the person I am created to be’.

You love each person so much that it led to the incarnation of Your divine Son, and to His redemption of humankind. Jesus is Your response to my betrayal of my destiny and me. Yet frequently I am unconvinced or indifferent before these astounding gifts of divine love for me and for every person!

Please give me grace to value each person as Your beloved and eternal gift. Inspire me with faith and gratitude for the gift of myself, for the lives of dear ones and of all people. Grant that these human gifts are shaped by Your love to become everlasting gifts to You, and through You, eternal gifts to each other person.

Through Jesus, You taught us that cheerful, loving mutual service of others leads to fulfilment of Your creative will. Therefore, give me grace to faithfully say ‘yes’ to Your loving purpose by active respect and charity to others and me.

Delight Yourself in me by forming me into the unselfish, joyful, helpful and prayerful person You dreamed me to be for You and others’ souls for time and eternity. 1999
 
Father how can we help our brothers and sisters who feel so desperate they are contemplating suicide.It is so hard for us to watch them suffer so and we often feel so useless.Please guide us to know how to deal with our individual relatives/friends who may feel this way.That we may have the wisdom to guide them away from these thoughts and to a renewed faith of You our Blessed Lord and Your infinite Love.Be with them Lord when they despair for they feel so alone and desperate.I know Lord because as You know i was once there myself.I watch a particular loved one of mine also suffer this dreadful condition and try to help but often feel useless.I know many people here at CAF and throughout the entire world suffer this daily please help ALL those family members and friends who are trying to help a loved one not to feel this way.Thankyou for hearing our prayers Father we love You Amen

Father it is so unbearable for us to watch someone we love who suffers so deeply to attempt suicide.What can we do Father to help them.Please guide us direct us give us wisdom to be an instument to You.Grant us the wisdom to help our loved ones.
For those who are in this despair let them feel Your presence so they feel not alone.
May they feel secure and loved and optimistic for their future>Father most of all love them we pray.Through Jesus Christ our Lord Amen
