Have read different things and was wondering what others thoughts are on this subject … is it Satan that tempts us or is it our being human that causes so many temptations?
We are tempted by the world, the flesh, and the devil.Have read different things and was wondering what others thoughts are on this subject … is it Satan that tempts us or is it our being human that causes so many temptations?
It could be a mix of both.Have read different things and was wondering what others thoughts are on this subject … is it Satan that tempts us or is it our being human that causes so many temptations?
The underlining is my own.It is a teaching of the Catholic Faith that the various temptations with which we are assailed are traceable, either directly or indirectly, to the malice and hatred that Satan bears to the human race as a whole, and to every human being individually. Not that he is the immediate author of every temptation [but] … he must be considered as the indirect cause of them all.

Pages 37 - 38 of this little book (which are available in Amazon preview mode) address your question like this:
The underlining is my own.
I would encourage you to pick up the book and read some more, because it truly provides an excellent and even life-changing perspective on all of this.
Temptations come from the world, the flesh, and the devil. It can also be a mix, because of our concupiscence.Have read different things and was wondering what others thoughts are on this subject … is it Satan that tempts us or is it our being human that causes so many temptations?

The devil is indirectly or directly linked to all temptation
