This is sage advice. Detachment in general from everyday things in everyday life is very imporant, at least for me.We must have some detachment from the problems of the church.
We must strive for the church to be healthy but have some detachment. Do not let abuses stop us from growing in spirituality
I’d love to hear more about this.Detachment from created things is something I have worked very hard for, and prayed for. The little I have been granted is a great grace and it leads to much peace.

People freak out when someone touches the stapler on their desk at the office and spend a hundreds of dollars on Armor-All for a car which should have been in the junkyard three years ago. I used to be just like that.
A few hours after we die, no one will want to even look at us, and then our kids will come to our house and fight over who gets the DVD player. Three generations later, no one will even remember that we existed.

Recently, I’ve tried to focus on loving my brothers and sisters. I may feel a certain way about certain things, but I’m trying to focus on living by example. I’m starting to stay away from literature that has a superior tone. All of us are sinners.I am so guilty of this, I was WAY too traditional for a while, but recently I found that St. Thomas Aquinas said that we can’t be too liberal but we can’t be too conservative either. So just like it would be wrong to join a call to action, a group of people whom are a bunch of raving looneys, it would also be wrong to follow the SSPX. We can’t be against the Pope and that’s what I’ve come to realize, I love the TLM and I wish I could always go to it, but if I can’t and I have to go to NO, I’m fine with that. I still have the same beliefs, lots of Catholics are poorly catechized and that is our special mission as people that do know our faith, to educate others, in a charitable fashion, and to teach non-Catholics about the true faith by living in a way that projects Christ to the world. I have a lot if traditional views but there are definitely some out there that would tell me I’m not traditional enough; I just pray that we all get to Heaven.
