Today i was on the internet and i was tempted to look on youtube for videos that satisfied the pleasures of the flesh. i gave into those tempations of lust and my dad came into the room when i was typing in youtube. i quickly turned it off; but if my dad didn’t come in at that moment, then i would have been in mortal sin right now. i feel so ashamed for what i did. can you pray for me that i do not give in to these temptations. thank-you

anthony6-I am praying for you and anyone who has had sexual tempatations

Scripture Reading: 1 Corinthians 10:13, Psalm 1, Psalm 139:23,24, Matthew 26:41, I Corinthians 10:12-14, Philippians 4:8, James 4:7, II Peter 2:9, II Peter 3:17, Matthew 5:27,28

Remember anthony6- You are not alone and you are not the only one who “struggles” with this. I can’t really get my thoughts into words but when I think of a sinning it’s like God puts up No Fishing signs for me yet sometimes when I do sin I ignore these signs, what does that give me? Disappointment! Picture Our Lord, Our Lady, or a favorite Saint sitting next to you. You wouldn’t show them such videos? And remember, that Our Lord, Our Lady, and so forth are at your side. Why not check out on your favorite Saint…

St. Anthony of Padua (I thought of this because of your name)

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Jesus please give your son strenght not to succumb to temptations against chastity. Please urge him to avoid such occasions of sin as internet porn, each time the temptation arises.

God sent your dad to save you from falling into porn.

If you’ve seen my recent posts, you would know that a family friend was recently arrested and jailed for passing child porn around on the internet.

15-20 years in jail for hitting the “send” button. There was a police officer on the other end of the computer. There are police units DEDICATED to catching people who traffic porn especially child porn. Don’t be fooled that it can’t ever happen to you. A husband, father and friend is now gone leaving his wife to struggle holding down 2 jobs in this economy.

Know this lesson and remember it when you are tempted to look for porn, or even share it.

…I hop you don’t mind if I pray that you were scared straight by my story…Amen.

Pray the Rosary, reflect on the Sorrowful Mysteries especially where Jesus is Scourged at the Pillar. This is the time of Lent and repentence. Mary is nearby to hear your Pray.

I offer you this to help when you are tempted. Prayer is powerful and Mary’s intercession is great.

I have included the Rosary Novena for any special intention you may have. May God be with you and help you in your time of need. I will add you to my prayers. Please include in yours a special intention of mine.

Hail, Mary ! Full of grace,
The Lord is with you;
Blessed are thou among women, and
Blessed is the Fruit of they Womb Jesus,
Holy Mary, Mother of God.
Pray for us sinners now and
at the hour of our death
Amen

Rosary Novena

(pray the following prayer for nine consecutive days
along with a Rosary)

My dearest Mother Mary, behold me, your child, in prayer at your feet. Accept this Holy Rosary, which I offer you in accordance with your requests at Fatima, as a proof of my tender love for you, for the intentions of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in atonement for the offenses committed against your Immaculate Heart, and for this special favor which I earnestly request in my Rosary Novena: (mention your request)

I beg you to present my petition to your Divine Son. If you will pray for me, I cannot be refused. I know, dearest Mother, that you want me to seek God’s holy Will concerning my request. If what I ask for should not be granted, pray that I may receive that which will be of greater benefit to my soul.

I offer you this spiritual “Bouquet of Roses” because I love you. I put all my confidence in you since your prayers before God are most powerful. For the greater glory of God and for the sake of Jesus, your loving Son, hear and grant my prayer. Sweet Heart of Mary, pray for me.

Thank you.

Can’t St. Augustine also be added to the list of saints to invoke?

:signofcross:

Jesus, Savior and Good Shepherd, please appoint a guardian angel for Anthony, to turn him away from porn, when he is tempted; to remind him that you, the Blessed Virgin Mary and saints are watching him. Give him a good shame, to save him from his temptations.
