Temptations

Hi guys,

I am currently stuggling with impurity temptations and was trying very hard to overcome those temptations but still fall for it and that sin have caused me to drift further and further away from God. I felt I am so unworthy of his goodness and love.

I really need advices from all of you how do you guys fight off those temptations? In times of temptations what prayers do you use?

Do you pray to Jesus or is praying to saints more appropiate? I tried praying to saints but I feel I am no paying respect to Jesus cause I am not praying to him when I need help.

Do not feel that you alone. Many struggle with impurity. It is nearly impossible to avoid all occasions of sin in this modern world. My prayers are with you.

Keep your spirits up. Almost everyone struggles with purity more or less. Sometimes God seems to leave our prayers unanswered, but He will eventually help you.
He sometimes wants us to be more humble. It’s a bit of a mystery - sin and evil.
The best thing is to get an orthodox, knowledgeable and holy confessor. Only confess to him, unless your on holidays etc. And follow the advice to the letter.
God loves all us sinners. He loved us while we were still in our sins.

No matter what temptation we are struggling with we must remove ourselves from any environment that may cause us to be tempted. Television, books. magazines, pictures, etc, seem to add to the temptation. Believe me I don’t live in a bubble, but there are decent books, magazines, pictures, and even some television and movies that won’t cause your mind to drift away. It worked for me but there is no quik fix. Pray to the Blessed Mother she is pure and understands that satan is using this sin big time in todays modern world. Also pray for others who are experiencing the same struggle this will help you as well. Believe me I know! Tony
