I know I never would have appreciated it without having been raised on the Nodus Ordo, knowing what various parts of the Mass mean and what not, so I still greatly appreciate the NO.

This is a great point I have never really thought of before. It was easy for me to learn what was going on in the EF just by asking about prayers as a whole. Instead of having to read along with the whole Suscipiat, I just learned that that started the May the Lord accept… prayer we say at the OF. In other words, the NO allowed me to learn the EF by sections, not by words

Of course there is nothing against using that form in the NO, just as you can use the old form for Holy Water…
