Any recommendations on where/when to hear Tenebrae in Rome?

According to Georgina Masson’s Companion Guide to Rome, Romans favor the monastery of S. Anselmo on the Aventine, but I haven’t been able to find much online. One blog I found implies that at the monastery it’s prayed as one nocturne each evening of Wed/Th/Fri.

Since we’re attending the papal liturgies for Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, we could probably make only the Wednesday night… any insight?

Thanks, and have a blessed Lent.

I would agree that the Monastery is your best bet. I spent Holy Week in Rome a few weeks back and I am sorry to have to warn you that the standard of the music is dire, even at the Papal masses.
