Please pray for Andrew H. who has recently learned from his doctor that he only has a few months left to live. This news was unexpected and he is very upset as you can well imagine. I do not know him very well, but from what I do know I worry that he might not have a very good relationship with God. I could very well be wrong about this. But considering the circumstances I think it’s best to err on the side of caution, so I’m asking that you please pray that Andrew will seek God’s loving mercy before he dies.

God of all creation, You who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from the darkness, I ask You now to send forth Your miracle working power to heal Andrew. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, You empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life giving power to all those in need, including those You raised from the dead. I ask You to send forth your healing power into Andrew’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

God, You created us for fellowship with You. We are designed to walk with You and delight in Your ways. But every day, we choose not to do that. We choose to go our own way. We put up a sign on our heart: Keep out. You could just let us wander off. You could see that sign and walk away. But You don’t. You seek after each one of us, and You sent Your Son, Jesus, among us to call us back. Back to a full, open and loving relationship with You. Back home. Help us respond to that call. Help us turn away from ourselves and toward You. We are awestruck at this amazing gift You offer—life with You, forever. It is hard to comprehend such a gift. All we can do is touch it at the edges. But where knowledge fails, faith and love succeed. Give Andrew faith in Your saving power. And thank You for the love that rescues us. In the name of Your Son, our Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

Lord, please touch Andrew with your divine, healing hand, and remedy his every affliction, whether spiritual or physical. Draw him by your grace, ever toward the eternal garden of life. Cultivate in his heart faith, hope, love, and joy. Send angels to minister to him always and to work with all medical staff working with him. Heal him temporally if it be in accord with the Father’s merciful will. Have mercy, Lord. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.

Lord in heaven you created us from dust and breathed Your Breath of Life into us. We know that one day we will all return to dust but pray that our souls may join You in heaven.

Grant mercy on our brother Andrew who is facing a very serious health condition. If it is Your Will, restore his health and infuse him with Your Holy Spirit that he may give praise and honor to you the rest of his days. If You will another outcome, be merciful O Lord and grant him the peace to accept Your decision. We pray this in the Name of Your Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God forever and ever. Amen.:signofcross:

Thank you all for your kind prayers for Andrew. The response to this prayer request has been wonderful.

In faithfully detailing the humanity of Jesus, you also showed His divinity and His genuine compassion for all human beings. Inspire our physicians with your professionalism and with the divine compassion for their patients. Enable them to cure the ills of both body and spirit that afflict so many in our day.
