TERMINATOR 3

Yes this thread is in the right place.

Now hear me out.

For those of you who saw the third Terminator movie, didn’t you think how it ended was great? No not the part about the billions of people dying. The part where the main character finally sucked it up and accepted his VOCATION? The whole movie is him trying to run away from it, but in the end he can’t escape it. Once he realizes this he embraces it.

Now I know that its a stretch but thats what I got out of the end of the movie. To those of you who saw it can you understand what I’m talking about? Or am I nuts:whacky:

Sorry, but I just have to go off-topic and say that Terminator 3’s ending completely killed any significance that the Terminator from the second movie made. I mean, what was the point of the second movie if Judgement Day was going to happen anyway? You know what I mean?

Then again, Terminator 3’s ending is kind of symbolic of how liberals take Christ’s sacrifice on the cross and make it redundant.

Remember that the Terminator in the second movie sacrificed himself so that the world would not end. But, in Terminator 3, everybody died anyway. It makes you think, WHAT IS THE POINT?

Today, the Church is experiencing liberal preists who downsize the importance of the Crucifixion, give us the watered-down Gospel, and teach us there is no Hell or Satan. Whatever happened to “outside the Church there is no salvation”? And, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life…” If everybody goes to Heaven anyway then WHAT IS THE POINT?

I do believe there are exceptions, such as invincible ignorance, and, of course, the fact that God is not bound to His sacraments, but, see what I mean?

I don’t really remember that part but it has been quite some time since I’ve seen the movie…

But I would say no, it’s not a sin.

Basically, I think at times like that in movies we can force ourselves to look away and not think about it. Now you might say, shouldn’t I be avoiding the near occasions of sin? You would definitely be correct…but think about going to the beach. I mean, that right there is kind of putting ourselves in a near occasion of sin, but I think God does want us to experience the awesomeness of natural beauty (such as the beach) or the fun of our own imaginations (such as movies). That definitely comes with risks such as scantily clad women or random sex/nude scenes but I think that can be defeated by being constantly diligent about making our every thought (or glance) obedient to Christ.

Also, how can you know that a scene of a naked woman is coming up when you’re watching it in a movie theatre ? You can’t .
But its your post of not “thinking about it” that’s the key. i liked that.
