Terrible anxiety (again) tonight

Sigh…

I have been feeling so much better, but now again tonight, my anxiety is back. I’m wide awake and have no idea when I’ll be able to get to sleep. My mind is racing. I don’t want to have to take something to help me sleep, but I might have to do just that.

If you could spare a prayer for me, it would be appreciated.
 
I suffer from it too. Prayers for you, whoever you are. It’s a hard struggle.

Almighty Father, fortify me with the grace
of Your Holy Spirit and give Your peace
to my soul that I may be free
from all needless anxiety, solicitude, and worry.
Help me to desire always that which
is pleasing and acceptable to You

As someone who also suffers anxiety I can sympathize. I am praying for you and hoping you find peace and calmness.:gopray2:
 
Lord Jesus, the apostles were stricken with fear and anxiety in the midst of the storm, but you are master over nature, just as you are master over our hearts, and you hold the power to calm the storm and bring serenity to our souls. Look kindly on your servant Denise, and fill her with your love and assurance, and draw her deeper into yourself. Mother of Peace, pray for us. Amen.
 
It is the middle of the night where I am. Praying you are getting a good night’s sleep. My problem is waking up in the middle of the night and
not being able to go back to sleep. Praying you will be free of your anxiety.

My nephew has the same issue. He started walking about an hour after dinner and found that after his walk and shower, all he had to do was hop into bed and he was knocked out for the night. Exercise helped relax him.
 
St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,

by the power of God,

A beautiful prayer - our thoughts can be hard to manage but a prayer said like this one is bound to be the way to soothe our soul.

Prayers for your sleep tonight. My husband always turns on the Divine Mercy Chaplet (music/prayer) and listens to it when he can’t sleep. Just a thought but for some reason I don’t think you will need it tonight:)

Don’t feel too bad. You are human after all. G.K. Chesterton once said something to the effect that to be human is to have some sort of disorder. We all struggle with something.
