Thank you again to everyone who composed such thoughtful responses! I’ve prayed for all of you during Mass, that God may hear your intentions and bless you 🙂

I’ve obviously not shared this dream with my husband, but I hope one day I will be able to. Every Sunday, I hope with all of my heart and soul that he will be seated beside me at Mass once again. Though I enjoy going alone simply because I want to be with God in His House, I would be even more happy with my spouse along-side.

I’ve not had any “follow up dreams” as of late and I don’t expect to. I wish I knew what to make of it, but I’m leaving it in God’s hands and just keeping up the good fight.

Please continue to pray for us, that our marriage might be saved and sanctified.

I’ve got experience in this area.

First thing for an Atheist you need to scare the hell out of him, see the problem with your husband is that he doesn’t believe in God and therefore doesn’t believe in the Devil, so you got to convince him that the devil is real.
Exorcist Father Vince Lampert says, If people no longer believe in Evil, then the converse will be as true as well, people will no longer believe in God, or will move further away from him. If the devil can convince us that he does not exist, then we really have no need for a savior, no need for Christ.
Exorcist Father Gabriele Amorth says, All those that do not believe in the devil, actually help the devil, he is very happy that most do not believe he exists. Because when a person does not believe in the devil, then the devil has more freedom and the person can’t have freedom over the devil.
I have been giving Ouija Boards away to all my Atheist Friends with the primary purpose that they will abuse the powers that the Ouija Boards possess, sooner or later, they always make contact with something, mostly demonic entities. That’s when all the fun begins, because an Atheist will say it’s Coincidence, then as more crazy Coincidental stuff happens their faith will grow, it will grow in the belief that there are demons, and hopefully in Satan as well. Then when they feel threatened by the Crazy stuff happening they will look for help, as they always do. Of the 34 Atheists that I have given this game to 29 have sought the attention of Catholic Priests, 25 of them are in RCIA studying to become Catholics, and 2 have been confirmed.
At the same time spike his drinks with Holy Water, (not from the Holy Water Font at the entrance of Catholic Churches, but get your Holy Water from the Holy Water Urn from the Sacristy). Looks kind of like this Urn. And see if he has any weird reactions, sooner or later he’ll realize somethings wrong and turn to you for answers.

(At the same time, start watching a lot of Exorcist Movies with him, they are entertaining for both Catholics and Atheists.)
Give him this book
An Exorcist Tells His Story

Father Amorth explains the five types of diabolical activity - possession, oppression, obsession, infestation and subjugation - and with many anecdotes shows how exorcism deals successfully, if sometimes laboriously, with these manifestations of evil. He emphasises that the ‘ordinary means’ of overcoming satanic malice are always prayer, the sacraments, fasting and striving to live a Christian life – ‘Confession is stronger than an exorcism’ – yet accepts that sometimes exorcisms (‘extraordinary means’) are vital to the life and health of a sufferer. One tormented individual wrote about his possession thus: ‘I started to suffer as I had never done before…I felt my body was a stranger. I was prey to the strongest despair and I saw, I know not with whose eyes, a terrible darkness that was not part of the room in which I was…It was as though I was been killed by an unseen knife and I felt that whoever was pressing this knife hated me and wanted something more than my death…’

Symptoms of Demonic Influence
  1. Diabolic obsession. Symptoms include sudden attacks, at times ongoing, of obsessive thoughts, sometimes even rationally absurd, but of such nature that the victim is unable to free himself Therefore the obsessed person lives in a perpetual state of prostration, desperation, and attempts at suicide. Almost always obsession influences dreams. Some people will say that this is evidence of mental illness, requiring the services of a psychiatrist or a psychologist. The same could be said of all other forms of demonic phenomena. Some symptoms, however, are so inconsistent with known illnesses that they point with certainty to their evil origins. Only an expert and well-trained eye can identify the crucial differences.
PRAYER AGAINST EVERY EVIL

Spirit of our God, Father, Son , and Holy Spirit, Most Holy Trinity, Immaculate Virgin Mary, angels, archangels, and saints of Heaven, descend upon me. Please purify me, Lord, mold me, fill me with Yourself, use me. Banish all the forces of evil from me, destroy them, vanquish them, so that I can be healthy and do good deeds. Banish from me all spells, witchcraft, black magic, malefice, ties, maledictions, and the evil eye; diabolic infestations, oppressions, possessions; all that is evil and sinful, jealousy, perfidy, envy; physical, psychological, moral, spiritual, diabolical ailments. Burn all these evils in hell, that they may never again touch me or any other creature in the entire world. I command and bid all the powers who molest me – by the power of God all powerful, in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior, through the intercession of the Immaculate Virgin Mary – to leave me forever, and to be consigned into the everlasting hell, where they will be bound by Saint Michael the archangel, Saint Gabriel, Saint Raphael, our guardian angels, and where they will be crushed under the heel of the Immaculate Virgin Mary.

hi, i note from your biography and hobbies-there is activity, action, exciting events,enthusiasm-
likewise as i read your record of the dream-
this seems to be the same-

what slows the dream sequence down- is to peer into the abyss…

what is this an impression of ? an expression of what? ( i conclude later of a counter point that must be made-)

perhaps, dreams do not have clocks-so what if one carried around a certain clock, instead of a clock being that of the kingdom of God-one of only the chaos of nature’s beginnings-some volcanoes, a wildness-untamed-some thing as perception to know as uncomplete…
to look into the abyss- it seems ‘slow.’

but anchored in the heart of Christ-there is a clock of the kingdom of God-heaven comes to earth, not a time out of time…moving, flowing into mercy…this means to forfiet the clock of chaos, to stop/think about controling the dials of chaos,-
my reason is mixed with pride, especially in my subconscious (where honesty is probably lacking) -my example is that of an animal-my example only -i explain ,if to blame-another or something- or an animal such as a dog–as the devil-yet the devil is me…my weakness is evident (a vision turned inward-weakness imploding).

take for instance dreams of substance-any dreams of black and white…dream of the depth of … yet non compare to the visible sign of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist/ by habit-participating in mass-i hear those little bells- and rise my vision to look at the Savior of the world (up lifted in the hands of the priest)…
my confession of faith:
… let Jesus, who existed before the world was made-make my dreams into love…i prefer the rise my eyes to the visible sign of salvation (this for every one). Now at the moment of the bread of God in my hand-and to pause for myself and consume-i think i can take it while thinking about others, not so much to take it for them/ at least inquire-that moment, not of nightmares-to think of others…
to conclude, i suggest the idea to you!!-consideration of all impossible dreams made possible-to discover to let Jesus’ heart to love through your heart…

OP has not posted for five months and is not likely still frequenting the forums.

Powerful dream.

I would get more people to pray for him. Sounds like a tough customer.

Just said a few prayers for him.

Him biting you means you are not wounded or killed because no blood was drawn.

Also, the right arm represents what you have the authority or power to do, and the left arm is what god has called you to do with your life.

Sounds like your one tough catholic lady.

Please pray for me, I always seem to bite off more then I can chew as well. 😉

Thank you all for your continued prayers and insight. I’ve been away for some time, lingering and reading, but not posting so much.

I’ve had several more Masses said for him, for us as a couple, I’ve placed a St. Benedict Medal in amongst his things, I’ve even joined a Rosary Crusade group that has 5000 members that pray for the intentions of all in the group every day - I keep fighting the fight, but sometimes, I lapse.

Since this dream, there have been some big improvements in the “basics” of my relationship with my husband, and maybe some minor improvements in terms of his anti-Catholic views. Perhaps he’s just getting older and mellowing, or prayers are working slowly, not sure, but regardless, things are changing and big time - I’m currently pregnant with our first child. Certainly was not using contraceptives, but NFP since I was afraid to have children when our faith issues are so big. Now, my own faith has to increase exponentially, since God is sending this child (a son) to us for some reason. His timing is perfect, and even if I messed up significantly, I know He is the only one who can bring goodness out of it.
My husband, however, has not been that great about the pregnancy. He has a lot of selfish anger, saying “if we could just use birth control/I feel forced into this/don’t have a choice/I didnt want kids now” throughout the last few months. It’s been very, very painful, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t scared. But he refuses to leave me, and says he WANTS to not be angry about it, and WANTS to want what’s happening…so I have to hope and pray that things will turn around…

I will keep each of you in my prayers.

Oh, and I have also “spiked” his shampoo with Holy Water (that was a great suggestion). I bless his things as frequently as I can. I even ordered a small vial of water from Fatima which I am saving for a special occasion.
