Terrible news - prayers urgently needed

Hi Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I have received a piece of very bad news which will gravely affect my family. Please spare a prayer for them, especially for my father. If it weren’t for the Lord I’d be crushed under this cross right now. However I am happy to say that Jesus is so good: He is keeping me afloat.

Gracious and merciful Father, please come to their assistance.

Permit me to lay down my cross in Your Sacred Heart,
for only Your infinite goodness can sustain me;
only Your love can help me bear my cross;
only Your powerful hand can lighten its weight.
O Divine King, Jesus,
whose heart is so compassionate to the afflicted,
I wish to live in You;
suffer and die in You.
During my life be to me my model and my support;

A Prayer for Comfort and Hope

Grant unto us, Almighty God, in all time of sore distress, the comfort of the forgiveness of our sins. In time of darkness give us blessed hope, in time of sickness of body give us quiet courage; and when the heart is bowed down, and the soul is very heavy, and life is a burden, and pleasure a weariness, and the sun is too bright, and life too mirthful, then may that Spirit, the Spirit of the Comforter, come upon us, and after our darkness may there be the clear shining of the heavenly light; that so, being uplifted again by Thy mercy, we may pass on through this our mortal life with quiet courage, patient hope, and unshaken trust, hoping through Thy loving-kindness and tender mercy to be delivered from death into the large life of the eternal years. Dear JRT J,
I wonder if your family has received the news yet. The prayers you are receiving here are profound, and God is with you!

Lord, continue to be with JRT J and the family, especially the father. Bring clarity and charity to the situation. Heal them body and soul, please heal any old family wounds that might be in the way right now, and heal ancestral wounds that only You can know about. Heal heal heal. Thank you, Lord, for your constant knowledge of our needs at every moment of our lives.

Jesus, we trust in you.
