It isn’t just St. Pat’s. Other churches have cops there too.

pro, I think there is plenty of corraborating evidence here that I was correct and you were, once again, wrong. Now that that is settled. What do you think about the fact that Islamic violence is such that we need police right here in the USA to guard our own churches?
 
I am surprised that you guys are STILL giving Pro a forum. He loves to pull your chain and listen to you bark. Ignore his drivel and he will go away. He says that he is not a moslem, but if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it is most likely a duck. Error and false religion have no rights and pro is simply breathing some good person’s air. Ignore him.
 
horse, you have a point. But I don’t like giving Islamic terrorists or their allies a free ride on any board. By confronting pro we make sure no one else is fooled by his propaganda.

I just cannot understand "Vatican teaching that the Church “esteems Muslims, who adore the only God.” (CNN.com POSTED: 11:36 a.m. EDT, September 16, 2006)

How can the Church esteems Muslims? I think, it is only Vatican that esteems Muslims. Their god (as revealed in their Quran) is different from our God–the Triune God. I was of the opinion that we Catholics could see two sides of a coin; and, they can only see one side; but, nevertheless, of the same coin. Therefore, I was of the opinion that we, Catholics and Muslims worship the same God, although, we call Him in different names. But, now, reading some passages taken from Quran, I can say that Allah is different from our Triune God. Muslims repudiate the divinity of Jesus and spouses terrorism and rape of innocent victims (non-Muslims) something taught by their prophet Mohammed as something commended by Allah. I think the Vatican has lost its sanity in dragging the name of the Church in esteeming Muslims.

I am sad that I have even seen a photo that Pope John Paul II kisses a Quran. Was he led by the Holy Spirit, who was promised by Christ to the Church, to teach all the Truth. Was the Holy Spirit, in that act of the Holy Father, showing us that Islam is as true as Christianity?

The charitable act that I can do for Muslims is to pray for their conversion to Christ or just respect their disbelief.
 
This topic qualifies as lip service. When the Islamic world actually acts as a whole to stop the Jihadists, then perhaps I will revise my views regarding Mohammedanism.

Until that day, I will continue to view Islam as the savage plague it is.

Eh. Good honest Christians can’t even stop Benny Hinn, how are peaceful Muslims going to stop terrorists?

I don’t know all muslims in Indonesia. But, those muslims I know in Indonesia respect my religion. Bad news may be heard about objections of the construction of churches or closure of churches, but that is it. At least I still keep my head still being a Catholic. Taxes I paid is in accordance with the tax law applied to all. The muslims as well as me, paid 10% VAT for goods purchased. Sins are sins, whoever do that regardless of his/her religion will affect others. A gun is a gun, and designed to kill. But, killing is done by somebody who pulls the trigger. A gun, unused, even is loaded cannot kill. So, eventhough the verses of killing do exist in the Quran, it will not cause any killing if no body decided to kill. So, the problem comes from somebody using religion to justify his/her wrong doings.

You find many part of the Our’an that will show what the religion is all about.

If I were a pagan and I wanted to find out what Christians believed I would open up a Bible and read it. It would show that love your neighbor as yourself or maybe it would say do on to others as you would have them done on to you.

In the Bible I see Jesus talking about love or others and not Killing them. Jesus showed kindness to all.

I feel that talk is cheap; but action talk louder then words.

Maybe it is time everyone read for themselves.

All the Passages that have been quoted from the Qur’am I’ve confirmed in my copy that I have on my desk. I have been reading and I marking all of the parts that talk about Christians and Jews. What would they do to people that were not Muslims. Very interesting from what I’ve read so far.

Looking forward to see who will read it or who will brush it aside and it not true what I have quoted. Mumm.

It’s all true. Jews reject Jesus and Christians generally enable them, so such Christians are traitors to Jesus. Muslims aren’t supposed to ally themselves spiritually with either of them, and fight against their disbelief and unfaithfulness with preaching.
 
I tried to read the thread, and I got to most of it. I honestly believe that most Muslims are peaceful. What is most?

I think that less than 10% support terror. Not all of them would do it, but they agree with it.

It seems like 15% agree with it in concept: Islam one way or another. They may support it financially as long as they do not really know what is going on.

I feel there is about 20% who really don’t care as long as they are not affected. They will go along with the loudest group.

That leaves 55% who are against it. I do not know how many of them care enough to actually help.

If my neighbor agrees with me about everything, but I find out that he is going to commit a crime against anyone, even in the name of our common faith, it is my duty as a human to stop him.
