I scored 193. Missed the one with Job’s wife, messed up on the Pope living in Vatican City instead of Rome, and then a couple on heresies. Too many silly choices for answers on some of them, though, IMHO.

Sister Mary Jude is rolling over in her grave. I only got a 172.

I could have done better. The website posted the descriptor “Protestant” after my score. 😛

What is catholic IQ?

I thought it must be knowledge of Holy Bible. I saw that you all got high IQ. I took two IQ tests of apps of phone, and got 150 on both and it was ten minutes each. When I saw I got 150 on first, I thought it must be not accurate for 120 IQ is already above average and Einstein was said IQ is 160. I did not have enough time finished second IQ test, but still got same 150. Now we have catholic IQ test, must be very good and accurate, but it takes one hour, and hope I can do it later.

I’m sure if the average person took the same quiz 170+ would be quite a high score. Don’t feel bad if you got in that range :).

I forwarded this around. I am going to check later and see if anyone has taken it.

But I could have sworn I got slightly more than that right. Namely the one about the last 3 Popes. Unless Pope Francis was actually there and I missed it… I wish I had a way to go back and look at my answers.

One I got wrong which I was sure I got right was the last three Popes (Francis, Benedict XVI, and JPII). I must have misclicked. OTOH, I seemed to have gotten most of my guesses correct – including the number of Catholics and clergy in the US. I mean,c’mon…I live in Canada! 🤷 I should get extra credit!

I took the test last month and I got the following:

Catholic IQ: 179

Section Correct/Total Possible Score
Bible 29/37 (78.38%)
History 15/15 (100%)
Morality & Virtue 18/22 (81.82%)
Heaven & Hell 12/12 (100%)
Prayer 6/8 (75%)
Dogma 9/9 (100%)
Anti-Catholics 15/15 (100%)

Church Information 21/23 (91.3%)
Miscellaneous 8/8 (100%)

I am happy with my results. Personally I think this test is great, yet perhaps a little too American (I live in Australia). Thus, my suggestion for improvement would be making in a bit more global in reach. Score-wise I think, I think anything above 170 is excellent; that said I am not a believer that a single test is the final word in regards to what a person truly knows or understands. Above any score, if people learn for taking the test, it’s a test well done. And talking personally, I did learn while did it.

God bless you all,

Got a 175 thats 86% I can live with it but did think I would do better, will be taking it again.

168 not too bad for a non catholic.
That’s the same score I got… and I’m a Cradle Catholic!!!

I thought it was fun though… and good too… Let’s me know where I need to brush up on. And, wow… I did the worst on Sacraments (45%)… Didn’t expect that

  1. Had trouble with the stats of Catholics in the United States. Being in Canada, I don’t feel too bad about that.
Also mucked up some quotes from the prophets and from the looks of it, fat-fingered something about the Mass (which I thought I had no trouble with).
