My wife bought a pair of Neumann KM184’s for me this last Christmas. After a steep learning curve learning of pc based recording, I finally got some test clips up on Soundcloud. There are 4 takes with different mic positions. Each of the takes I put up 2 versions: “raw” (no editing or reverb), and “edited” (bloopers spliced out, noise reduction added, gains tweaked as needed, reverb added, ready for mastering).
Please have a listen and tell me which of the 4 is most pleasant on the ear. Be brutal if needed. If you click on the title of each clip, my notes appear on that clip. Edited clips are right at a minute each.
I have about an hour’s worth of similar material that I want to record and put up on iTunes/Amazon. CD’s will be produced as needed.
