Is pronouncing the tetragrammaton once in a prayer at home major sin or a mortal sin.

No, it’s not sinful. Out of respect for His name, I avoid it. However, you’ll find some who use the tetragrammaton as often as the more often used “Lord” or “God”, and that’s OK, too. It’s a matter of personal preference. It just can’t be used in the Liturgy.

Yes but I used in a prayer at home does this not count as liturgy even though I prayed because it was not public

Yes but does praying at home constitute as lithurgy and is this a great sin

No, prayer at home is not the Liturgy. Read the link referred to above. I would not use this pronunciation, but I doubt that you committed any serious sin.

I sometimes say “Adonai” instead of “Lord” in prayers. Is this still tetragrammation?

Jews later said “Adonai” when the tetragrammaton appeared and that appears in our modern Bibles as LORD (caps). Adonai is just the Hebrew for Lord.

Why would it be sinful? In fact, many bible scholars say that no one really knows what’s the right pronunciation
