It’s sad that the Bishop would even have to worry that a Catholic institution in his diocese would contravene Catholic doctrine on any topic-- especially when they have clear guidelines and protocols they are supposed to be following that clearly say “no sterilizations”.

I feel sorry for the bishops, they aren’t ominiscient. It’s not unreasonable of the Bishop to expect those in leadership positions in these organizations to act with integrity.
