On a serious note she stopped in the middle of the road I read?

Yeah, the whole thing sounds like a big mess. Hopefully, it goes to court and the truth comes out. It almost sounds like the Police got bad intel and assumed something else entirely different was happening. A drone and 4 SWAT Officers would’ve been sufficient to take the vehicle. And that’s being abundantly cautious.

Something doesn’t add up. What was she doing in her car for well over half an hour after the stop?
I’d have to see footage before I believe this account of things.

Wondering why she was surrounded by the police, panicking from already seeing someone shot and killed, wondering if this were her last day on earth. Per the article, she did not hear the commands being issued while she was in her car.

I recall another incident in Texas that escalated quickly. A man, on the way to a funeral with his children, was pulled over. He put his wallet and car registration on his dashboard so that when the police came to ask for it he would not have to reach out of site. He waited, and then realized the police was behind the open car door with a weapon drawn. The explanation later given was that since the man didnt comply with an order to get out, the police thought there was bad intention. The reason the man did not rey is because he never heard the order. It was hot, he was wearing a suit. He had the AC on and engine running and didnt hear the police command over that.

So she was just sitting in her car, freaking out for half an hour? What does that entail, exactly?

Don’t people know to turn off their cars and roll down the window?! There are several steps, first is, find a good place to pull over. This young woman didn’t even do that.
Maybe people who have “FTP” soaped on their cars should review how to handle a basic traffic stop.
Also, she espouses the FTP mentality, but who does she call when she thinks her car’s been stolen? 🤣

They do, but people might not follow the procedures that they might do in a calm situation when panicked. According to the article, the officer started with his gun drawn and aimed on her because of the stickers on the back of her car. The interaction started with a threat of lethal force. That is a scenario that can cause panicking, especially in a person that witness someone being shot and killed by a police the day before. Per the story, she was already in an emotional state from having witnessed that.

I don’t think therr are many here in this thread that can speak of how they filled good procedure in an interaction with a police after seeing someone killed. But, it may be better that none of us come to completely understand what that is like.

The whole article is slanted. The subtitle says she was followed because of the anti- police slogans on her car.
No, she was followed because she had reported her car stolen.
Right there the article is lying from the get-go.
Side note- the more people see the media lying to them, the more they want to vote for the only person who dares to stand up against the media.

She was followed because in the words of the cop who started the whole thing he ran her plates because of the protected speech written on her car. Positively Orwellian.

Exactly, once they found out who she was the harassment began, as many members of the press and public can attest to.

I truly don’t know – is it unlawful for cops to randomly run plates if a vehicle looks suspicious?
