I’m going on vacation next month to New Braunfels Texas. I’m curious how many of you are in Texas especially central Texas, Austin and San Antonio especially. I’m hoping to take in at least one Maronite service there…

I go to Our Lady Maronite located on 51st street in Austin, Texas. I don’t know our exact numbers because I’m getting into the faith myself. But I believe there is a Maronite parish in San Antonio too. We are spread out pretty thin though last week one family drove all the way from Waco to attend. Now thats devotion my friend. 🙂 I hope to see you at a service though I can only make the Saturday 5pm service and the Wednesday service due to working on Sundays.

Thanks for the reply! I understand on the schedule, I have to grab church on days other than Sunday because of my graveyard shift job.

I’ll see about the Wednesday one. I have no idea about itinerary which will be made up on the fly based on places we want to see. (We are actually going to Texas to scout it out as a place to relocate too sometime in the future because of cost of living etc). I would hope to be more near Austin if I moved, think the wife is more interested in San Antonio. I like what I’ve seen about the Austin, Monsignor, the church also had a nice review on Yelp.

San Antonio has an awesome Maronite parish, St George Maronite. The website is www.stgeorgesa.org. That’ll give you the address and schedule, along with an archive of the bulletins. If you happen to be around the last Sunday of the month, you might enjoy the Lebanese luncheon after the 11 AM Qurbono!!
