Hi Everyone!
I decided I hated my username, and my old one didn’t work, so I reversed it to Domer90 (instead of 90Domer).
I wanted to thank everyone for the support and suggestions I or DH may have overlooked.
First, yes we do pray for the girl who seems terribly obsessed with my son. Once again, the Catholic culture of the school has seemed to also have taken a nosedive with this class. My son did finally makes friends (or show us that cyberschool did not harm his social skills). Puberty was good to him. In many ways, it was too good to him, as he has grown into an handsome young adult (as others have told me). He’s still my sensitive, quirky Aspie kiddo who is socially naive, but less so, and still answers your questions literally. I only wished high school could have turned out differently for him so far this year.
Sadly, I am throwing in the towel on Catholic education and sending our son to a Christian school starting 4th quarter. Those who read my original post may remember me as the constantly worried mom who with the kiddo on the autism spectrum (1990Domer or 90Domer). Many people here gave us so much to think about as a family today (snow day).
My son chose to pray for the girl who torments him, as we believe she may not have the greatest home life. If nothing else, my son showed so much character in the face of adversity…constantly forgiving and praying for her.
My biggest hope is that parents start to learn that God won’t judge us for being a star athlete, but He will is we are a star Catholic.
God bless.
