It all worked out–I called this morning, and explained that I truly just have been forgetting to get the check in the mail (since we pay everything online) and they were fine with that–said they would extend it to this Thursday…by then, they most certainly should have the check! Praise be to God–thank you for your prayers!

I just leave everything on the altar of the Father, and He takes care of everything.

whatevergirl, you know what? I just found out that what I thought was a set up for taking out money on monthly basis to pay for our trash collection didn’t happen! We ended up owing for an entire years worth of trash collection and now I have to remember to go on-line to pay for it next month to get caught up and then when we are billed again - which they do every 6 months - it is set up to pay for the entire 6 months at once!

Water and sewer are the only bills I can not pay for on-line too, they do make it convenient though with a drop box nearby I just have to remember to write the check and drop it in the box or put a stamp on it and get it in the mail! AAAAAAA. They are pretty good though about it, if I miss a bill they send me a second one giving me an extra 15 days to get it to them.

our local utility is also the only bill we can’t pay on-line, so we use pay pal for one, and credit card for the other. there is usually a way around these antiquated regulations. now the only check I have to write is for HOA fee, and we are going to try pay pal again, I think with our new bank the bugs are out.

problem was our bank got taken over by bigger banks 4 times in 3 years, and in one of those takeovers automatic payments etc. and checking acct numbers did not get carried over so it caused a lot of grief for a lot of people. and mega late fees, which bank later reimbursed.

i also found out by accident my last car payment to pay off the loan could not be made on the automatic system, so i had like 3 hours to get it paid, but on-line worked, thank goodness. I am actually driving my own truck. wooo wooo

Hi Brenda!
Yes–what did we do before the internet? Oh yeah, we put stamps on bills and sent them. I took over the bill paying in my home–I am the CFO of our household I typically have all the bills down to a science, but when I have to mail one, I do forget. Thank goodness they are extending it–it should be there no later than this afternoon or tomorrow–so, hopefully, they won’t have an issue!
