It is difficult to know just how to respond to the deluge of unending reports of sexual abuse by clergy in the Catholic Church especially over the High Holy Days. Any attempt to correct unbalanced and unjust reporting is often viewed as being in denial of what did happen or having no sympathy for the victims of abuse.

I just was to say that I am grateful for my Catholic Faith and for all of the priests, living and dead, who have ministered to me throughout my life. And to all of the good priests who are suffering from insults as a resut of the actions of some unfaithful priests- know that we love you, support you, and suffer with you.

God bless our priests and long live Pope Benedict XVI

I invite others who want to share a word of appreciation or gratitude for priests to post on this thread. (or share a prayer)

Yes-I pray for all priests, especially for the ‘special’ ones who have been a part of my life.

I am so tired of all the attacks that have been leveled against our good Holy Father, Benedict XVI. I stand with him, and all our faithful priests! :knight2:
 
I have encountered great priests in my lifetime, and they got reassigned which broke my heart. I miss them dear but still keep in touch with them.

I pray that they remain faithful to God’s calling.
