I just wanted to give thanks and say how wonderful our God is and He and St Francis will do wondrous things over something as tiny and simple as a new 65-70lb calf!
One of our ole fat girls started showing signs last Tuesday night and by Wensday night it was evident we had a new baby though she still had it hid out as the cold temps dropped even further…and thats when things started going south! It all seemed as if the baby had died! now hubby leaves at 5AM and doesnt get in till almost 7 so even with flashlight he could not see anything! (Im in a wheelchair so…not much help on search end!)
He was convinced it was dead but I took it straight to God and St Francis! I prayed for days and continued (And sorta argued) hey, no body so not dead logic till hubby gave in and yesterday went and searched all our land and just when he came in fussing no, no calf we heard her call out and FINALLY a reply! Little stinker got out onto the wild acreage south of us and before hubby could get close enough to see if it was OK, boy or girl or anything like a flash it went back through the barbed wire and happily romping around mom!
Hubby went back all over the perimeter fencing again but no holes or breaks in wire just sneaky little stinkpot!
This morning we heard mom hollering like at 4 but as hubby went to go try and check on baby it had gotten into front yard and was curled up under porch! I just had to let someone know who would appreciate the amazing things God does for us even the most minor ones!
