I am in the process of returning to the Catholic Church, and I must tell you that this forum had a lot to do with it, I married a Baptist woman while I was away and we compromised on being Episcopal. Neither of us was happy, and so we stopped attending church altogether. It was then that I heard God’s call back to the church.

This site answered all my questions, made me realize that it was in His church that I belong. My wife does not quite understand, but I know if I can set the example, God will work through her as well.

So I thank all of you for your wisdom, your caring, and your prayers.

I’m very glad for you dear friend. I’ll pray for you both.
May God bless you both abundantly:thumbsup:🙂

Hi. I too will pray for you and your wife. Welcome home. I would like to share this with you and your wife from “Minute Meditations for Each Day.”

1Corinthians 13:8. " Love never comes to an end."
God is love. God’s love is a gift. God’s love stays with us at all times. It is up to us to take this gift and ’ use it’ ( so to speak). God’s love saves. And is worth sharing God’s love which you apparently have realized in this process of conversion of heart you are going through. I see your trust in God by saying your wife will eventually see it too. The sun of God’s love is always in heaven even when his children because of ‘dark clouds ’ cannot see it’.

Let us pray: Father God in Heaven, we give you thanks for the inexhaustible fount of Your love. We know that You never stop loving your children as shown in the symbol of the Cross.

May the peace of Christ be with you and your wife and family.

Awesome!!! Welcome home!

Two suggested resources: The Coming Home Network chnetwork.org/ - they have an awesome message board on that site as well & Catholics Come Home www.catholicscomehome.org.

Also, the book Rome Sweet Rome by Scott Hahn is great and goes into depth about the issues he had with converting without his wife and she writes part of the book from her perspective too. Kimberly Hahn did end up converting and is now a great apologist in her own right. There is another book entitled When One Converts, but I cannot think of the author at the moment.
